    Anybody know of a good, not-crazy-expensive appliance repair person?  My washer died over the weekend.  :(

    The not-crazy-expensive is the hard part. When mine broke down the parts and labor to fix it was about the same as getting a new washer so that's what we ended up doing. :(

    That's what I'm afraid of.  Years ago there was an artist who had a studio in (or near) the old Elvisland artists' collective downtown, and he also had an appliance repair business.  He was good and not-crazy-expensive.  I lost his card and can't find him online or in the phone book.  

    I really can't afford to buy a new washer right now.  Ugh.
