I am looking for a new sofa/couch, hoping to find a L-corner sectional that has style to it. Contemporary Italian stuff will be ideal, but I am not made of money so need to keep the cost down. Is there any furniture stores you recommend? I live in North County but don't mind driving south.
Thanks in advance!6/3/2007 -

If you're after less spendy modern stuff, consider Plummers on Miramar (plummers.com) or Hold It in Mission Valley (holdithome.com). Both have a mixture of high-end originals and reasonably priced knockoffs. You can find some nice solid wood stuff at either place that's a little cheaper than DWR, etc.

I did save some money, and the sales guys are great, but it's been over a month now and I'm still waiting for my couch delivery! I called them and left messages three times and never got a call back. Finally we resorted to calling the original salesperson, who at least helped us find it (it was done and being shipped). Now, I found out it arrived a week ago at the warehouse but they won't deliver it until next week. Argh!! I'm so frustrated - I bought from them because they said they could get it done and delivered well before Christmas.
I hope that I'm an anomaly and they don't usually service their customers this poorly, because I was hoping to buy some additional furniture from them. I guess you should just expect that no matter what the salesman tells you (I was told 2-3 weeks), you won't get it for 6-8 weeks.12/27/2007 -

I got a couch from the Furnishing4less in Carlsbad and they offered nothing but top-notch service. Best thing was the no-pressure sales crew, which is rare in that business. I went back three times and each and every time got help from different staff and they were all low key about "closing the deal". Very knowledgeable of their industry & products I might add. I think I need to post a thumbs up review for them.
