I wrote to Bissell customer service. I asked if one of their vacuum cleaner models I saw online has a HEPA filter (proven to trap especially small dust particles). I wrote: Not a filter just similar to a HEPA filter. And not jusr HEPA "media material". Their reply was useless and insulting. Oh yes! Our vacuums have filters that collect dust! Nothing about HEPA. That is because, as I've learned, there isn't any approved HEPA filter in the vacuum cleaner I asked about and not even just HEPA "media material" (be careful about other models). Who would want to buy a vacuum cleaner where the company's customer service plays double-talk marketing games? When you're shopping for a HEPA-filter vacuum cleaner, or any vacuum cleaner, first get advice from a major hardware store where they don't just sell one or two different brands. Then call the vacuum company's customer service to learn if they're honest and helpful. Before you buy and suddenly need their help with your purchase.
