1. Does anyone know of a really good cab company? I'm flying in to SFO and need a cab to Union Square area. Normally, I'm not that nit-picky about this stuff, but after a recent bad experience w/a New Jersey cab company to Newark Airport, I'm exploring my options.

    Thanks!

  2. I'm not ballin' like that ... yet.

BART will take you practically door-to-door

If you're going to take a cab, go with Luxor or Yellow.  They're the most reliable in my experience.  A cab from SFO will probably run you about $25-$35.

  4. If you decide to go with a car service, I've had good luck with Medry.  yelp.com/biz/medry-limou…

Take Super Shuttle if you want to save some $$.

    Taxi:                 $45-50, with tip
Supershuttle:  $15-20, with tip (slower and you have to share)
BART:              $5.35 (often fastest, but it's public transportation, if you have issues with that)

  5. ...and if you want front door service, consider taking the BART into town, then catching a cab from BART to your hotel.  But it's only 1-5 blocks, depending on where your hotel is.

  6. I'm going to go with (drum roll please) ....... the BART.

Thanks, everyone! You guys were so incredibly helpful!

bring hand sanitizer, don't rest your head on the seats, and that yellow stuff on the ground is probably urine and not lemonade.

    I still recommend BART. Goodluck.

  7. the cabs are all lined up...you take the cab that's in the front....only worth taking the cab when traveling with others to share the cab bill....

usually i rather take the shuttle....little under $20....and takes you to the door....

bart is cheapest option...but...usually only good when traveling light...it's tough lugging large bags...

I would take car service. People will throw stuff at me but I dislike taking BART to the airport.

Bart is your best option.  Drops you right off at union square. Take the powell st exit.
