My battery is in dire need of replacement, and there really aren't any Autozones or Pep Boys in the city. Does anyone know anywhere near Nob Hill/FiDi that sells car batteries? Thanks!

Costco if you have a membership, there's also a Kragen in the avenues and a few parts houses in the Mission such as MacKensie..

Thanks Navi. I thought about Costco, and I do have a membership, but wasn't sure if they sell batteries. do you know for sure that they do? I'll give em a call when I'm off work today and see if I can swing by some time this week.

16th & Portrero has what used to be Kragen, now it is some Irish thing, but still a decent auto parts store.

Richie, where is there a Sears Autocare? Closest one I found is in Mountain View.

I don't really need installation help, I can do that on my own, I just need somewhere that sells it close by and won't charge me a ton. Kragen-O'Reilly (16th and Portrero)  wanted $140 for a damn regular battery.

Sears is in Tanforan, South SF. They are really cool and will give you a bitchin' warranty.
    That's right, I said bitchin'.

Thanks so much for everyone's help! I think I'm just gonna cave in and go to Kragen.

Costco does sell batteries, install is on you though.

I called Costco, and yes they do have batteries, but inconveniently, they don't have the one I need. Batteries plus has my battery but for more than Kragen. Looks like the chain stores are winning this one!
