Cheap place for tires

    I've been riding on a spare for three days. Costco takes like 3 hours. Anybody know of a reasonable place where I can get new tires in the city?

    costco only sells the highend tires...at a decent price....so if you want "cheaper" tires...look for a discount tires or tire rack near you...korean tires are usually cheaper...kumho or hangook tires....last hella long time....

    Big-O has discount coupons online...print 'em out an go get some tires. Skip the one at Blake and Geary though...there is always a LONNGGGG wait.

    get retreads if u only drive in the city
    that's your cheapest route as long as the sidewalls are still good

    We had terrific service at Wheel Works despite being 6:00 on Dec. 23. The prices were lower than Costco and the alignment is still true 6 mos. later. Besides, their proximity to Japantown gives you a place to hang and have some sushi while you wait.
