The metal drain from by bathroom sink has become detached from the pipe and needs recaulking. Any suggestions as to who could fix this cheaply (I live in SOMA)? Feel free to PM me if you are a handyman too!

A Cheap plumber? Sorry, there ain't no such thing....
Bear in mind the old phrase "you get what you pay for". There are few places where this saying rings truer than the field of independent plumbing contractors.

Actually you don't always get what you pay for! I had the best handymen when I lived in Berkeley. They were UC Berkeley-educated artists that understood the era of the house and charged $20 an hour for impeccable work!
