My folks are driving into town and will be staying @ the Hotel Nikko (yelp.com/biz/Vq77UqVmI39…).  I was wondering if anyone knew of a decently priced parking garage nearby where my parents can park their car for about a week or so, because the hotel offers parking but it's pricey.  Thanks for the advice folks.

The parking garage under union square seems pretty cheap.  Don't know about 24 hour parking though...

You obviously don't have anything better to do, I pity you and ask you to please leave me alone.  If you continue to hound me, like you have in previous threads, I'll make sure it stops.  You are making assumptions about someone you don't know who asked a legitimate question, and I think that is childish, pointless, and a cry for attention.  Grow up.

alot of the hotels in the area are at least $20-$40/day  - for weekly you might want one fo thsoe open-air lots that people who work in the area use they are a little cheaper at $15-20/day

they can maybe also opt to rent a car for the drive into the City and back bc there are alot of rental companies in the downtown area and they can drop the car off sans parking fees

Calm Yourselves, it's a beautiful Sunday afternoon and yet, all this haterade?

Sutter stockton is probably the cheapest, but at $30/day it depends on your idea of 'reasonable'....

    Ah, correction:

$33.50 /day. Page #9  are the Sutter Stockton Day rates.

Serrusly, prob don't need a car in the city if they are going to be staying near Union Square- maybe consider parking in the outer sunset/ outer richmond for a few days and check up on it once in a while???
    Just an idea : )

well, some people already beat me to this, but Stockton/Sutter is the best deal in that area.

Find them street parking on a street with one day a week street cleaning and leave it.

Just don't leave it on my street.

to clarify: Sutter/Stockton is *not* the garage underneath Union Square. It's around the corner near the Chinatown tunnel...

The only reason they're going to be parking in the city is because they're driving in from NM (they like road trips), but realize they don't need the car while they are here, hence the need for the parking garage.

Thanks for the PDF of rates Mia, that was really cool and helpful!

you can park in my garage any time, TIm

I agree that FDDI can be quite the thread killer, aka asshole, but that was a good comeback.

Do people sell parking spaces for short term use? Like they're going on vacation for a few weeks and want to sublet their space?  Maybe check craigslist.

Mia, your info just helped me too!  I'm driving up to the city on Saturday and need to deal with Union Square parking, so I really appreciate some insight into the zoo of garages!

When my relatives go on vacation, they just leave their car with me out here in the Sunset. Plenty of parking.

I guess what I'm saying is get yourself some relatives in the Sunset.

I know this post is old, but this info is gold for visitors coming from outside the city:

Park at Millbrae BART, take the train in.
