So we "ordered" some workers from an online company to help move all our junk to a new place. They don't insure the workers. I don't know if the workers even get to keep the money. It's a minimum $50 per worker for about 3 hours...but no idea actually how long we get them for......Should I just say screw it and get a few guys from out front of the hardware store?

I'm not letting them drive the truck. Just lift and carry all the heavy junk....I am going to go with the guys outside the hardware store. Firing the online service. Someone told me the workers don't get the money.

  1. The online services hire the laziest workers from God knows where.  Go local.

  2. If they're not bonded and they're advertising moving services, they're probably unlicensed and therefore illegal.  Which would mean you have no obligation to keep the appointment.  On the other hand, if they're nice and helpful when they show up, why not?  Be sure to give them a tip and some iced tea, they can keep that at least.

Cancel the workers and the truck.  Go with Delancey Street.  They are reasonable, bonded, insured and awesome.
