Hey! So my friends and I have booked a trip to the U.S. We're spending 4 days in N.Y.C flying to Vegas for the weekend (Friday to Monday) then on to L.A for the last 4 days. It's all booked and paid for i.e flights and hotels, now we're just looking at where to go, what to see/do more so in Vegas Like pool parties clubs (we won't be gambling- no idea how to )and how much to take. I'm thinking £2000 limit for our 10/11 day trip with the occasional use of a credit card if necessary?
Your help is very much appreciated! Thanks!

    Sorry? Why enough?!

  1. If you're serious go to tripadvisor.com
Also don't bring cash. Use credit/debit cards.

Aw the amount I said would be on debit card I'm not saying that's how much I'm taking in cash I was more meaning would that be a sufficient amount. Sorry I thought I was able to use this site like trip advisor.

  2. You can but to optimize the use of this site ask in the cities you're visiting. You asked San Francisco about NYC, Vegas and LA.
The amount depends on what type sights you want to see and what type of foods and beverages you enjoy. I am relieved you're not bringing cash.

Oh I'm sorry I'm in the UK not entirely sure how this site works. Thanks Joanna for your help certainly not taking cash ha!! Oh and Chau I'm a woman I certainly do not need a guy to get me anything but thanks anyway!

  3. You're welcome, Jayne.  Definitely search by city.  You'll find each city's talk section has a different voice.  Some won't be very active some will be thoroughly active.

Definitely ask each area about your itinerary.  You'll be able to make an inference about whether you need more money from that.  Also, you may be able to pre-pay some of your events.

Also check groupon.com and livingsocial.com for passes to some events or amusement parks. Check goldstar for tickets to shows.  In NYC check out the TKTS booth for broadway shows - do it either when it opens or an hour to curtain.

in LA go to Disneyland, the Getter Center, and the Hotel Standard rooftop bar/pool downtown.
