Parking tips/tricks on Saturday near Metreon?

    Hey Yelpers,

    Normally I park at the Fifth and Mission parking garage. But times are tough and I'm looking to cut some costs.

    Are there any cheaper parking on Saturday near the Metreon? This is during the day - before free street parking kicks in at 6pm

    You could park farther away and walk...  There are a number of streets deeper into SOMA with free parking.  At the Embarcadero Center (3/4 mile away) there's 4 hours free parking if you get validated for a $5 purchase in one of the shops.  Across Market in the tenderloin (staring at Jones street and west of there) places have $6-8 all-day parking on saturdays.  Public transportation?

    That's all I can remember.

    Park on a muni line and muni back and forth to your car.

    I'm planning to be out and about between noon and 2am. I'd love to do public transportation, but muni really bugs me.

    5th and Folsom outdoor lot is $10.

    +1 Todd.  I've parked there and $10 for the entire day is a steal compared to the other lots around the Metreon.  The guys there are cool and point out spaces for you to park at too.

    Otherwise, I'd also volunteer public transportation.  Everything is getting more and more expensive in the city  : (
