I'm going to talk to the Tenants union later today or tomorrow, but wanted to put this out and see if anyone can give me an idea of what to expect here.
My domestic partner died a few days ago and he's listed as the original occupant and I'm listed as a subsequent occupant in our rental aggreement. We are/were registered domestic partners with the city of San Francisco. Our apartment is rent control.
So, my question is this: What would happen to the rent control? Would I be able to keep that with us being registered DPs?9/11/2012 -

Call the Rent Board and ask them, stranger. They have all the answers.
"You can speak with a counselor by calling 415-252-4602 during weekday counseling hours (9:00 AM - Noon and 1:00 - 4:00 PM). Calls are generally limited to 5 minutes. A counselor is also available at the Rent Board's office from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday through Friday, excluding holidays."9/11/2012
