1. Hey San Fran people! Do you know where I can find a great deal on transportation to Napa Valley? I will have 12 girls with me. I heard a bus is too touristy. I wonder if a limo service is good. I am looking for an inexpensive one. Thanks

California Wine Tours/Evans provides transportation from SFO to the Napa Valley-it costs $25 one way. They also stop in Vallejo.

  2. I looked at it and it's kind of expensive ;(

I don't think you'll find cheaper than that.  Maybe keep an eye out for a groupon or living social deal.  Good luck.

  3. Yea, limo isn't going to be cheap in any way. Add a tourist attraction like Napa into the mix and ... prices tend to stay up there.

  4. There is a search box located at the top of the screen.

  5. thanks Rebekah. lol

maybe car rental is the best option or bus.

Go with a party bus, and just go with the smallest possibly.  They're not that much, especially when you're splitting between around 12 people.
The smaller the bus the better, as wineries won't have an issue with you coming in.

  6. I had never been to a winery before. Will there be charges of parking if I were to bring a car rental. hmmm

It's low season right now so try calling a limo company directly and negotiating!

In terms of visiting wineries, with a group of that size you'll want to call the winery ahead of time to make an appointment for tasting, and also let them know you have a limo/bus. Most of the larger wineries are used to accommodating large groups and have plenty of space for tour buses and limos.

    Have fun!

  7. Thank you RAchel!!!

I also stress to call ahead to the wineries you plan to go to as well! some of them have stopped accepting limos and buses based on bad experience with other parties. : / found that out the hard way for a friends birthday and we only had a group of 10. No parking charges but expect a 10-15 dollar tasting fee at each winery. Some places will actually set up a group event for you though as well.  With negotiations be wary of w/e you sign though, some may stipulate an hourly price and then in the fine print have a minimum milage, gas type deal that they tack on. GL and have a blast!
