    Talk about instant karma...
this morning while pulling up to a parking spot, i had some competition, which ended fairly quickly as there were other spots around.  i ended up taking the spot and saying to by boyfriend, 'watch, we'll come back and my car will be keyed.'

i shouldn't have put that thought out into the universe- and maybe should have given this person this parking space just to be the bigger person.

    anyway...

about an hour and a half later, my boyfriend goes back out to the car, comes back in and says:  your rear windshield is shattered.'
i laugh, amused by what had to be an extension of the joke i made earlier.  he says it's no joke and the guy who parked behind me (different person than the driver mentioned earlier)  was waiting to exchange insurance information.  can you believe this?
apparently, a rock flew up from his tire and hit my windshield.   he felt responsible and wants to cover it.  my mind is blown 7 different ways.

i know that personally, i would feel responsible if my tire had done that to someone's windshield, and although it's an uncontrollable circumstance and i wouldn't be technically 'at fault'- i wouldn't feel right leaving someone's car like that.
on the same note- i don't know- i feel a little bit like a heel taking him up on my offer-
clearly the guilt of  winning a parking battle has me stumped.  do i take him up on his offer?

and if so, where is the best/most econmical  place to have a Volvo 91 station wagon rear windshield replaced?

    thanks!

I had a volvo station wagon and I took it to a volvo repair garage on San Pablo.  Let me check on Yelp.
