    My friends want to go white water rafting in the (extended) bay area potentially memorial day weekend. Have any of you guys been to Russian or or American rivers? Are there SF based companies that arrange trips?

    I went with this company: arrafting.com

    Did the Chili Bar Express 1-day trip.. was a class III.  During the dry season, I'd consider doing a class IV.  It's tamer than you'd think during the dry season.  Super fun though.

    I like All Outdoors. They are based in Walnut Creek, but it doesn't really matter where the main office is because most likely you will meet at the river.

    AO has a frequent rafter plan so that you get a free trip after you've taken a certain number.

    I miss white water :(

    Is it THAT much fun? I mean, I'm up for ANYTHING with friends, but one guy is suggesting a 2 day trip.
