Hello one and all,
I am in need of a few recommendations: I am an occasional driver where i only need a car maybe once a month or so. With this in mind, i am looking to signup for a local car rental service and it looks like only Zipcar and City Car Share have the locations i want.
So, which service should i chose?
I usually need only a small car for weekend get aways or a day trip with friends.
Thanks!

I'm a City Car Share fan -- although some of those little Zippers do look quite cute. However, services like these are good for local (short) trips. For weekend get-aways and longer trips you should probably rent as lots of miles adds up to a pretty sizable fee.

CCS is better $uited for occasional drivers. Been using it for years.

City car share is more expensive if you're going to drive more than a few miles in a trip. Zip car interiors tend to be in better shape. It's easier to figure out how much you're paying on the zipcar website than the lame city car share site. I use both services. I only use city car share when zip cars are not available.

Also, zipcar doesn't charge by the mile, so you don't have to guess how much your trip is costing you.

I guess I missed the day this was in Talk. I say, if you are not interested in a posting just ignore it. No reason to get snippy. Some of us are not at this site everyday. - Thats what I would PM them.
