Hi, does anyone know a tire shop that will install used tires? I need to put my run flats back on the bmw before returning it.

    Thanks.

Look around. There are mom and pop type tire stores in every city.

Not safe to put old tires on. Did you hear about that bus accident today in New Mexico?  A big rig's tire blew out &the truck crossed over into traffic, hit the Tour bus &wiped out several people. Don't skimp on tires

Any shop can do it.  A lot of them will do an inspection citing safety.  Age or wear may stop them but people have been swapping snow tires for ages.

GC, maybe the op should install some used brake pads and old shocks while he's at it?  And pick up some gently used motor oil, dropped off at the recycling station?

If you can't figure this out on your own,
You should be riding a fukin' bike.

It sounds like you want someone to participate in the inevitable law suit. But, before you bankrupt the mom and pop when your tire shreds, or deflates, or whatever...
    Who took the tires off?
But I would go wherever they sell the run flats, in case getting them on is tricky.

It is common practice in the snow area to swap to winter tires then swap back in spring.   Used tires do not mean worn out.  If they are worn out, that's when the tire shop will cite safety laws prevent them from installing them.   FYI recycled motor oil is sold (Valvoline  NextGen) along with rebuilt shocks (typically for auto cross)

Fantastic GC.  Glad you're saving money on all those 'non-critical' car parts.  Most other folks don't F-around or cheap out on their personal safety and maintenance of their vehicle.  Driving is truly the most dangerous thing the common person does on a daily basis

There's just certain things in life we shouldn't cut corners on. & good quality auto parts & maintenance isn't one of them.  See ya on the side of the road or on the back of a tow truck, which costs ya more money & time

The guy is returning a leased car, most BMW drivers replace the run flat with performance tires for a better ride, he just want to return the car back with the OEM tires.

Walmart will do this for much less than anywhere else.

Getting new rims to go with new tires makes a lot of sense. Then you just need a wrench to go back and forth.

Thanks GC...no idea why these guys are being so dramatic. These tires have another 25-30k in them and like I said I need to get them back on because BMW only takes run flats back. It doesn't take a genius to tell how much tread is left there is no safety issues.
