Our carpet experienced disaster. Our lucky carpet guardian angel was with us when we picked George Talbot out of the yellow book listing. We needed a carpet cleaner to be dispatched on the same day due to our unexpected carpet emergency. George was able to take the call and come out within two hours of our request. He was extremely straightforward with us and we had the rare joy to see a perfectionist at work.
For us, it was a real pleasure meeting George and James. They worked together cleaning the carpets in our 3 bedroom house for almost two hours. It was not an easy job because we had not washed the carpets in almost two years and our darling dog that has an oily coat. Our home is carpeted with an array of different types of carpet, and one in particular tends to look dreadful when it is due for a wash. George's cleaning process brought out the white of our carpet unlike our old carpet cleaner. It went from a light grey to almost solid white. While he was at it, he gave us tips on how to repair a torn ring in one of the carpets. The vacuum cleaner ripped it up, and we've been looking at the eyesore for a while. George suggested we curl it over, and add a dab of superglue - it would look better than cutting it. I'm pleased to say that he was absolutely right, and our carpet repair looks as good as new.
He also curiously mentioned that using black soled shoes on the carpet results in faster color deterioration and the need for it to be cleaned again. We didn't know this, however we showed us on a portion of carpet that had been cleaned. The black soled shoe did mark the carpet. George re-cleaned it, and we switched to wearing white soled shoes. I am going to get a whole new set of shoes (Is Imelda my middle name?)
George is also a proud member of the Better Business Bureau and runs an extremely honest and courteous operation. He charged us a fair price for his services. We honestly couldn't give a more glowing review. We wholeheartedly recommend his services, and will be utilizing his services in the future.
