My vegan boyfriend and I are visiting my parents, and we're used to LA where most large grocery stores sell daiya cheese. We can't find it here, and there aren't any convenient whole foods, either. Lucky sells veggie shreds, but they have casein so they're not vegan. Anyone know where we can find it?

    Try this link: daiyafoods.com/where/ind…

I know other grocery stores sell them other than whole foods, just not sure which ones in the East Bay (nevermind that I am not familiar with California...).

    Hope that helps!

Whole Foods is the only place in the East Bay that I know for sure sells Daiya.

  1. Sacred Wheel in Oakland - they sell it too!

Some Safeway stores are carrying it now. Usually in the produce section or wherever they keep the faux meats and tofu.

Joshua is right about Whole Foods, but sometimes it's at local organic grocery stores.

I must be ADD - I could have sworn the title of this post read "vagina cheese".

    I don't think that'd be vegan, gibson!

I found it at Berkeley Bowl West.  I love Daiya!  Melts on pizza and everything :)
