Is there anything like that in the lower mainland?
All I know if is a "2 Pounder" burger challenge at Two Parrots, and a Flat Line Burger Challenge at Hog Shack but you have to rush that in 5 minutes.
Anything more interesting, and preferably steak instead of lame burger?

Anything below the old 96er isn't worth your time.

That is a terrifying challenge - I had a 6oz steak on the weekend and was full for a day! I haven't heard of anywhere like that, but my guess is you'd have more luck South of the border ;)

  1. This place offers it but it's in YYZ.  There must be a place in Washington that offers it...

@Caspian - I would be eating it and definitely taking a doggy bag if I failed. Not carelessly throwing away food like, apparently, people do --http://www.worldfooddayusa.org/food_waste_the_facts

That ain't the point yo, it's just gluttony - let's see how much food we can stuff in our faces!

@Caspian - Fair enough. But some people go to these challenges to get a free meal since success = eat free. Plus you can probably skip lunch before, and then skip breakfast and lunch the next day. If you want to complain about gluttony, then you need look no further than smorgasbords/buffets.

I have done a few of those challenges. Beth's in Seattle with their 12 egg omlet challenge and although the word FREE is fun. The ratio and percentage of people whom actually successfully finish it is very very low. It is a fun way to get people in through the doors. I do agree with James that the Cheesecake factory over serves which saddens me 'cause I see the homeless population around Seattle every time we go.

Your boy Caspian is usually a pretty chill fella, but eating "challenges" make me pretty angry. It ain't about the food but just how much you can eat. People be starving in this world but we got so much food that people here can just stuff their faces until they can't eat any more because it's a "challenge". Restaurant waste is bad enough, but eating that much on purpose???

    Shame on y'all.
