1. I promised my brother a durian cake for his birthday.  Where do I go? Looking for something fairly small since my cousin and him are the only ones that will eat it.

  2. I didn't even know that's a thing. Maybe you should just bake him a sponge cake with layers of durian and cream?

  3. Herman, will you buy us one to share? I'll bring the durian milkshakes.

@Jasmine I still pop by here and there :p

  6. @herman and durian mochi ice cream. Are there other durian desserts we've forgotten?

  7. Oh Lord, the options are endless.  Lemme see, durian:
    cheese tart
    turnovers
    baked pie
    chocolate fondue
    flan
something with double D's, I like DD's, Durian Danish  =P
    and that's just the western

    The asian:
durian sweet soup with tapioca 榴蓮西米露 can someone find a recipe for that??
    durian egg tart
baked durian with custard, red bean and tapioca
^and for variety maybe sesame or lotus paste

    My head is spinning....

  8. I went and bought a che Thai the other day, thinking the yellow fruit was jackfruit... I was wrong

  9. OH NO! It's one thing when you're expecting a delicious burst of flavor from durian, but another when you think you're chewing jackfruit and it hits you.

  10. I don't think I could ever use "delicious" and "durian" in the same sentence.  Other than to say "Durian is anything but delicious"
