Hello yelpers,

I figured this might be the best place to ask this since we're all so informed about services in Vancouver.

Spring is here and summer is on it's way and my front yard looks like crap.  It's growing all sorts of green things and it's got a huge crater in it. So I think it just needs a fresh new start. New soil. New seeds. or sod. Any idea of good yard services that might do something like that for a reasonable price? I have no idea what I would be doing if I were to do it myself.

Second order on the agenda is that my house needs to be pressure washed to give it a nice new shine. Or atleast let the colour stand out. Any ideas for pressure washing companies? I could rent one and do it myself I suppose, but I don't know if I could reach the high places of the house. How much do rentals go for? Where can I rent a pressure washer if I wanted to?

I really like Student Yard Works -I am on my strata and we used them last year. studentyardworks.com
Never thought to review them, but definitely will now :) The owner's name is Fabio and he's a really nice guy! There's also Burhan - but I'm not sure if they might be more lawn cutting and maintenance than landscaping...I'm not sure. I can't see if they have a website. Their office is in North Vancouver...

Maybe other yelpers know their website or contact details? I see their trucks around town sometimes.

As for pressure washing - I believe Home Dept rents the pressure washers. I know that there are lots of pressure washing companies - unfortunately, I've never had to use that service. But I'm with you in having some recommendations. I think that the landscape people would have contacts for that industry too :)

Oh, it should be noted that since 2009 Student Yard Works isn't doing lawn services or power washing anymore, as per their website FAQ.

I guess they're out of the question then.
