1. This is one of the biggest questions ever for Breakfast... Do you like Waffles or Pancakes?
And also since we are talking about Waffle and Pancakes, any good waffle houses or pancake places that maybe I haven't heard of? :X

Oh that is tough. I go with the craving.. both so delicious.  Lately, I have been trying to behave so I tend to stick with the eggs but if you're ever in New West in the River Market area you should check out Angelina's.  It's a great little spot that makes yummy waffles.

I like pancakes, however, I make my own GF kind.

    3/4 cup brown rice flour
    1/4 cup tapioca starch
    1/4 cup potato starch
    1 tablespoon baking powder
    1 tablespoon white sugar
    1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
    1 egg
1 cup buttermilk (or 1 cup milk plus 1 teaspoon lemon juice)
2 tablespoons butter, melted and slightly cooled

Whisk together the dry ingredients and set aside. In a smaller bowl, lightly whisk the egg and then add the buttermilk. Add the wet to the dry ingredients, whisk for just a moment and then add the butter. Whisk to combine and then let rest while the griddle or pan heats.

Butter the pan or griddle if desired and then pour about 3 tablespoons (or a scant 1/4 cup) of batter onto the griddle for each pancake. Let cook until they begin to bubble on top and they are lightly browned on the bottom. Flip and cook sec

Waffles! The little squares are oddly satisfying. I get bored of pancakes after just one. :(

Definitely waffles.  Try the ones at Cafe Medina.  They don't take reservations and the wait is always crazy but you can always just walk up and get a waffle to go.  The stack of 'em are sitting right at the entrance!

Japanese style waffles check out miura milk bar. Very innovative cuisine!  There's also tealips near highgate mall for Belgium waffles with an asian twist.

Waffles! The yummy flavor receptacles in each waffle are the reAson why. However, so far I make the best waffles. Last time I checked, cafe medina made the best waffles. It was a while ago.

Either one is fine as long as there's bacon on the side. :-)

I choose all the above. But Hoddeok (stuffed Korean pancakes) have them all beat IMO.

Hoddeok has usually brown sugar stuffing and sometimes little bits of peanuts. The brown sugar melts as hoddeok is cooked on a griddle. Very sweet and oh so good on cold days when you need something hot and chewy to fill you up.

The big question for me at breakfast is weather or not to have a drink.

PS a couple of shots of vodka and kahula in your frosted flakes is delicious.

I love the way pancakes soak up the syrup and get all soft and doughy when you pour syrup on them....

Dammit. Now I have an intense craving for pancakes.

I'm a waffle girl myself. Was in waffle heaven when I was in Belgium last fall. Who knew waffles could even be a cookie replacement (stroopwafels)?!!
