Sherry Yang, DAOM, LAc

Sherry is so wonderful! She's very gentle and I saw great results with her treatments. She has a great bedside manner and is very knowledgeable in both Eastern and Western Medicine. I would recommend her to everyone :)

I have been to health care practitioners who are skilled technicians and practitioners who are healers. Dr. Yang is both. She is a highly skilled and very knowledgeable practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine who also knows a great deal about Western medicine. I have been to a number of acupuncturists, and she is one of the best at inserting needles with minimal pain. She is meticulous about insuring that the herbs, balms, supplements and so on that she provides are of the highest quality. I have seen her for a number of different ailments, and have generally found her treatments effective.

She is also very kind, compassionate, and caring. I brought her a detailed, multi-page report from a hand orthopedist for a thumb injury, and she took the time to carefully read the entire thing at the beginning of the appointment. (It was a long appointment.) She has been unstinting of her time in trying to help me find good practitioners I can see when I am out of town. Her treatment rooms are very comfortable and pleasant. I always look forward to my appointments with her.

I can recommend Dr. Yang without reservation to anyone who is looking for a skilled practitioner of Traditional Chinese Medicine who will do everything in her power to make you feel better.

She is a healer.

Let me start off by saying I'm afraid of needles. My best friend has been telling me about the wonders and awe of Sherry Yang - but I just couldn't pull the trigger and make an appointment because of my mental blockage due to the thought of tiny needles in my skin. That said, I LOVE ACCUPUNCTURE by Sherry! I had a BAD BAD case of RSI - repetitive strain injury on both my hands/arms that was giving me symptoms of throbbing carpal tunnel. Kaiser had diagnosed it a CT - gave me braces to wear and said if it gets worse my only options were cortisone shots then surgery. (Thanks for scaring the S out of me, Kaiser) Although the braces and stretching helped, I had another numbing episode - then saw a specialist at Dignity Healthy : who then clarified that I do not in fact have CT... but I have repetitive strain. They described it as: your hands are training for a marathon, running the marathon, then immediately training again AKA you're limbs are tired AF. I did PT, warm wax, a slew of stretches, modified work environment, modified work hours temporarily, and then RSI guard which effectively shuts my computer down to remind me to break. This was going well and slowly getting better.

Then I had another flare up and decided to call Sherry.

After 1 treatment, I felt the healing of 4 months of western treatment. Seriously! She explained to me inflammation and the benefits of accupuncture. I went 1x a week for 4 weeks since my episode was very bad. Cured.

Life happened and I wasn't able to do the 1 x a month maintenance. I was working on my computer like crazy non-stop for about 3 months. I had another flare. Hands cramping, soreness, inflammation up my forearm. 1 session - so so so much better. I'm doing 2 treatments and then I'm going to make sure that I continue with maintenance because I vouch that IT REALLY DOES WORK!!!!! And I am not afraid of the needs! :)

Dr. Sherry is a skilled and thoughtful acupuncturist. I have seen her for over 10 years for treatment for insomnia, sports injuries and muscular pain management. She combines compassion and a rigorous medical and alternative medicine training -- the only acupuncturist I've seen who has both stellar Western and Eastern medicine qualifications. Her background made me feel immediately comfortable even though I was initially hesitant about acupuncture.

The patient experience is of premium quality, from the highest quality needles to the herbs/supplements, to post-treatment tea. Her place does not feel like an office, or a clinic. It is bright, clean and warm.

I've noticed that the majority of her patients are repeats and extremely loyal to her. Many, like myself, see her even after our initial issues have been successfully treated. The familiar faces over the years at her office are a testament to her healing presence and remarkable abilities to alleviate pain.

I've been going to get treatments from Sherry for about six months now and I've seen a lot of improvement in my general well being. I went to see her for seasonal allergies and the symptoms of runny stuffy nose and itchy eyes have been reduced.

I look forward to her treatments because they're incredibly relaxing and helps me to get on with my daily life a lot easier. She is also a kind and a good listener.

Sherry has been my acupuncturist for about 6 years now - she literally saved my life! She diagnosed my thyroid condition (when my own medical doctor could not) and was able to help me into remission. I see Sherry every week for general well being and have not been sick in over 4 years! Sherry is also an MD, and her medical background is really great when combined with acupuncture. Further, Sherry is a wonderful person and a delight to work with. Btw, I would go to Sherry with any medical issue, but in particular has been a great help with autoimmune issues, allergies, back problems, knee problems and asthma.
