900° Wood-fired Pizzeria

Pizza here was decent and appreciated the vegan option. I think there was an extra charge for vegan cheese which feels really unfair, but the pizza was good.

I recently decided to try the GENOVESE pizza, which won the "Best Thin Crust Pizza" by CTV News Vancouver Island. Despite this accolade, I was utterly disappointed.

The GENOVESE pizza includes a combination of house fennel sausage, pepperoni, hot Calabrese salami, crispy prosciutto bacon, and pickled red onions. I thought the toppings went well with each other however, I would have enjoyed more of the pesto sauce to bind these ingredients together.

But, the real letdown for me was the crust. Firstly, the dough could have been more aerated. Additionally, the crust seemed to miss the mark in terms of cooking time. It could have spent more time in the oven to develop a crispier bottom and a deeper wood-fire flavor.

Our expectations for this particular spot were exceptionally high, particularly after reading the reviews. We're pizza lovers. Especially thin-crust kind, baked in a wood-fired oven for only a brief amount of time. Unfortunately, the pizza at 900 Degrees did not live up to our expectations. The Margherita and Fungi pizzas were what we requested. The funghi pizza was awful, but the Margherita pizza was alright. The tomato-based sauce lacked flavour, the crust wasn't the nicest, and the mushrooms were almost off. We had a poor pizza experience and paid $70, including gratuities, for some pizza that fell short of our expectations. Our server was highly attentive, and the host provided good service. Having said that, we won't return.

We have loved this restaurant and made it a point to try each pizza on the menu. Enjoy a Classic Negroni & a Montepulciano D'Abruzzo with your dinner.

I must admit that there hasn't been a single person we have brought here that hasn't loved their pizza also. I regret that I am only able to enjoy their pizza during the summertime when in Canada.

Don't be afraid to try the wonderful combinations of toppings. As I have mentioned we have sampled every one and been surprised that we liked all of them!! Nuff said, just go already!

Very good pesto pizza! Crispy thin crust,good flavors. I've been there 3time and it is very consistent

We are somewhat regular diners. Enjoy the pizzas- nice simple toppings, not too many. Let's the flavours shine through. Always relaxed and pleasant service.

This is some really good wood fired pizza located in a nice spot. They had outdoor seating on a beautiful night. It's usually very busy so plan ahead if you want to eat here.

I love pizza. Especially thin-crust style that is typically baked in just a few minutes in an extremely hot oven, generally over 750 degrees. Unfortunately the pizza at 900 Degrees did not live up to this pizza lover's expectations.

Place must be part of a chain. Located in a mall, it bot feels and looks corporate. Many wait-staff.

But how was the pizza?
Crust was kinda limp. Not tangy. Not crisp. Tomato sauce was bland. Application/amount of cheese was fine, not too little not too much.

When visiting Victoria and/or Vancouver, I eat out most if not all of my meals. This meal was my only let-down this visit. To put my experience of this establishment in perspective, I have lived in some very good pizza towns in the US including Portland, San Francisco and NYC. There are much better-tasting pizzas to be had in those towns - and at no greater expense.

Delicious fresh pizza and salad. I had the arugula salad and the gluten-free Rossa - it was like eating a delicious garden of flavour. It's rare to have something so tasty, fresh and healthy!

We were graciously seated 15 minutes before closing at the new location in Sidney and enjoyed delicious pizza, cocktails and gelato to finish. The gluten free crust made eating pizza possible for me! Our server, Danyelle, was a real standout- - so nice, helpful, and never made us feel rushed.
