The 3D concept merges ancient rock-cut tombs located in Saudi Arabia’s Madain Saleh — a UNESCO world heritage site — and contemporary architecture to create a modern dwelling. The home imagines large planes of concrete mounted on the face of a massive boulder of sandstone, forming the structure’s sleek, minimalist boundaries. It’s no surprise it gained popularity after it was shared by Redditor KahlumG, nephew of Stuart Grant, owner of the house. This magical-looking residence was completed in the 1980s near Tomich, Scotland, and continues to live up to its whimsical appearance not only because of the fascinating exterior, but also because of the fitting interior design.
