Celebrating 15 Years at UNFCCC COPs
This year marks the 15th anniversary of the World Climate Summit's presence at the UNFCCC COPs. World Climate Summit 2024 will be held alongside COP29 in Baku, Azerbaijan, with a special edition in New York during the 79th UN General Assembly and New York Climate Week, providing a meeting point for key stakeholders ahead of COP29. The New York edition continues our legacy from the World Energy Transition Summit 2023.
The Summit serves as a platform for pledges, commitments, and action plans aligned with the Paris Agreement’s objectives.

Our Role in Climate Action
As a proud member of the Marrakech Partnership for non-government stakeholders and an accredited observer of the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change, the World Climate Foundation actively contributes to the Paris Agreement's implementation.
World Climate Summit is part of the Foundation's initiatives, such as the Climate Investment Coalition, World Biodiversity Network, and World Health Network. The Summit aims to deliver key outcomes aligned with the Foundation's impact framework for COP29 to guide the world towards a 1.5°C pathway.
