FRESHMAN

Attend new student orientations. Meet regularly with college advisers to review your course selections. Begin language study early.

SOPHOMORE

This year you will declare your major. Become knowledgeable about degree requirements, options, and all of the available enrichment opportunities.

JUNIOR

Meet with your major adviser and choose courses that will complete your major and prepare you for graduate school. Apply to summer research programs.

SENIOR

Consider enrolling in a graduate level course, carrying out a senior project/thesis or conducting research. These experiences will be assets when applying to graduate school.

TRANSFER

Be proactive about getting the courses that you need. As a transfer student you do not have the luxury of time. Communicate that you are a transfer student.
