NASHVILLE, Tenn. (KTUL) -- Tulsa legend and Rock and Roll Hall of Famer Leon Russell is recovering from bypass surgery after suffering a heart attack in July, but the musician expects to be ready for a fall concert tour.
Russell had to cancel tour dates in July, August and September due to the surgery. According to a press release, Russell is using his recovery time to write new material.
The Tulsa native is known for hits such as "Tight Rope," "Delta Lady" and "A Song for You." His career has spanned more than 50 years.
