If you‘re unfamiliar with peer support and wondering what it’s like, it’s pretty simple actually. Peer Support is one-on-one conversation with someone just like you. Each peer support provider that serves with us is a Firefighter and EMT or Paramedic. That means they know and understand the lifestyle that you live, which makes the conversation so much easier. No matter what you’re dealing with in life (AND IT DOESN’T HAVE TO BE JOB RELATED), we have someone who would love to walk with you through whatever it is that you’re facing. 2024 Battle For Mental Health
This is the 4th Annual "Battle For Mental Health". This a two part event. Please join us on Saturday, October 5th, 2024 for the Weigh In and Raffle at Red Engine Brewery in Fillmore, CA (free entry). And then join us at Hummingbird Nest Ranch on Sunday, October 6, 2024 starting at 3:00PM, for all the Fights and Main Event (tickets must be purchased).
The Next Rung “Battle for Mental Health” was created as a way to bring awareness to the mental health issues that firefighters and first responders face on a daily basis. By these men and women entering the boxing ring and testing themselves against their opponent, they are able to raise their voices loud and show through great action the value of the lives of those they serve beside. Through this event, money is raised to help Next Rung further their mission and address the mental health issues that firefighters and first responders face across the nation. Just like these boxers, we square up daily with our mental health. Some days we win easy, some days we win through a grooling battle after multiple rounds, and some days we get our bell rung. No matter what, every day is a new opportunity to get back in the "ring" and go at it again. Next Rung "Battle For Mental Health" is now a proud partner with United Combat Association.
