Chelsea Flower Show 2017: Best in Show goes to a 'Maltese quarry', plus all the medal winners

The award for Best Show Garden deservedly went to James Basson for the M&G Garden, a monumental evocation of a Maltese quarry where nature and a gardener of exceptional talent have worked together to heal the scars of excavation.
The effect is beautiful but austere - and not necessarily to everyone's taste. So kudos to James Basson for pushing his vision further than most Chelsea show gardens would dare - he's an uncompromising designer and that approach has paid off brilliantly.
The Best Artisan Garden award went to Graham Bodle for Walker's Wharf and Best Fresh Garden was won by Kate Gould - see below for more.
