Uber blue collar place which is a great break from the rest of Vegas. We had the rib dinner at EIBBQ then went to the Front Yard. Both blew our socks off!!
Let's start with the BBQ place; first, very affordable. 50 bucks for two of us with beers and we are full as ticks. Haven't had a meal with drinks under $100 since we got here. Get full here.
Next we went and had some beer flights at the Front Yard Beer Garden. 9 bucks. Nailed the beer. It is from silver reef brewing in St. George but it's EI's recipe (contract brewing).
So, if you're in town don't sleep on this place. It's worth it.

      1 check-in

Came here for some food and drinks.

Hotel is under construction so there is that.

We've not been back since they built The Front Yard.
It was really nice being there. Bar that had great, REASONABLY PRICED drinks, good beer and lots of televisions that had the football games on.
Bartenders were really nice. The place was lively and also had karaoke going on.

We had been here a few years back to have prime rib and that was our goal this trip.

It was not packed so we were seated fairly quickly.
That was the only thing that was quick. The service/food quality is why I say it was 3 stars.

Service was slow and food was slower to come out.
We order a couple cocktails and those were long gone by the time the food came out. The waiter was not that friendly...not rude, or mean, just not attentive. Ok, whatever, we were chatting it up.

      Food.
For the amount of time it took to get the food - you'd think it was really hot.
It was lukewarm at best but we were so hungry, we ate it before it got cold.
I got the steak and shrimp, cooked like I requested & good over all flavor but it was all the difference between 5 & 3/4 stars especially because the price is really good for steak/prime rib dinners.

Bummer but I would still come back to give it one more shot.

Probably one of the worse hotel rooms I have ever been in. The room was very filthy like it was never ever vacuumed, clumps of dirt and dust in all the corners like what you pull from a lint guard level. The AC was old and loud AF, it did keep the room cool but you must decide if you want a loud cool room or sleep. The room smelled like a burnt ashtray, even tho there isn't supposed to be smoking in the rooms, all the linen smelled like smoke as well. We drove 12 hours due to the fire on the 15 North so were completely exhausted. Would have been more comfortable sleeping in our car. The room was cheap but not cheap enough to make any of this worth it. Will never stay in the hotel ever again.

Edit: it is 2:17 am and 91 degrees, I discovered a helpful tip. Good thing I brought my airpod pro earbuds, no not to listen to music to turn on noise cancellation so that I can actually sleep. So surprisingly that guest would actually want to have AC and sleep at the same time.

House Beef Steak with baked potato & string beans is my all time favorite dish. Fish and Chips are always welcomed in a hungry stomach and if you miss your noodles they got Pasta dishes too. You want Pizza, no problem they make it fresh on the spot for you too. Brews served cold only, will delight your party. Head on to the Brewery section & order BBQ which is the King of eats here!
You want to Gamble? Me too I like their roulette table at $15 minimum. There's plenty of Casino machines & BBQ for all! Parking is free & always available.

A pretty good establishment. I like the small casino and collection of restaurants next to the hotel a lot! The front desk is staffed with nice and helpful people. Also a great location to the strip, very easy to call $10 rideshares back and forth. And comes with all basic necessities: a fridge, hair dryer, shampoo/body wash/conditioner, and an AC.

Only a few caveats during our stay:
      - Was pretty expensive for a 2-star hotel (during EDC week though)-- we paid $1100 for only 3 nights.
      - We were initially promised late checkout was possible only to go back and forth between the cleaning staff and management whether it was possible. We talked to cleaning staff, they said it wasn't possible, and then management still charged us $20 for late checkout even though we left the room.
      - The rooms are pretty old. Ours had an ant infestation.

We always come here once whenever we are in Vegas. Bob likes to order their prime rib while I ordered the Daily special Pot Roast.

King cut Prime rib($27)--tender, moist and full of beefy flavour...as good as Lawrys which is one of our favourites! Comes with soup or salad, choice of potatoes and garlic green beans.

Pot roast($15)- Tuesday Daily special, comes with mashed potatoes and garlic green beans.

We enjoyed their meals a lot, everything is always consistently cooked good and tasty. Good value for price paid. Waitstaff is both efficient and friendly.

Village Pub is simply a coffee shop so not much ambiance or service
I really enjoy their no nonsense comfort food so Bob takes me there at least once!

Awesome place to come and grab a bit and watch football. They have a lot of tv and showing multiple games.

Food was good as well, the chicken wings were really good. Cooked to a perfect crisp. One of my favorite dishes was the pork belly. It was super yummy and very tasty. I would pass on the pork belly Mac and cheese. It wasn't very cheesy and was a bit bland. I would come back and try out their dinner menu and see what's that's like.

Another one bites the dust! (Primarily about cafe at Ellis Island Casino)

It seems all of Vegas is ditching the value proposition and seeing how much they can get away with charging, seemingly forgotten that the cheap eats brought in and kept the gamblers. But, they are the ones in business and I'm just a customer, so who knows? But before the Front Yard expansion (or whatever it is called) it seemed a lot more.fun at Ellis Island.

I have been coming to Ellis Island Casino for years. When I sat down in the Cafe, I thought the prices looked high, so I scanned back through old menus in the photos here on Yelp. Literally, prices up 100% in the last two years, and up 25% in the last year. To add insult to injury, the serving sizes are smaller, as well. The service has never been very good (until the bill comes out, then the server checks back regularly!) and the staff at the host stand will chat away while you wait to even be acknowledged and seated.

If I'm going to pay $20 for a breakfast anyway, there are plenty of other places I can go. For that amount you can get a buffet at South Point and have a generous tip left over. Just not the Vegas we used to know, not even from a few short years ago.
