I really love this place and the services they provide for the cat and human communities. The staff and volunteers really care about the wellbeing of the cats. I wish more places like this existed not just for cats.

I adopted my recent cat from here and the care and support for the cat's transitions between homes was astounding. Thank you Feline Rescue! Please remember to donate they depend on it.

Feline rescue is a wonderful shelter. I have been volunteering for two years. They are really invested in, taking the very best care of the cats, and ensuring that they go to caring homes. The staff are very thorough and thoughtful, a great place to get a kitty and two support.

I am in the process of adopting a cat after losing one over a month ago. I have been looking quite broadly, at different organizations, and will say that Feline Rescue is one of the best I have worked with. They care so deeply for the welfare of their cats, and seemingly, that of the adopters! Your application is taken to heart and it's not just a free for all as to who gets the next kitten...but they keep you in a pool so that you are considered if you might have missed another cat of interest.

Denise is awesome to work with - offers an educational approach - I'd highly recommend them and know that the cats they have are in excellent care....Liz

I cannot help but say, once again, what a wonderful cat I was able to get from Feline Rescue. I picked Millie up in March, and she has been my constant companion since then. I've had many animals over many years, but never a cat quite like Millie. She follows me everywhere, like a puppy, makes me happy every day, and I was feeling quite down, so this is so wonderful to laugh again. I so love this special little girl, and I thank you for the service you provide and the many faithful volunteers who work for you.

If you'd like to adopt a cat, Feline Rescue in St Paul is the best place in the twin cities area to do it. This volunteer-originated, no-kill, non-profit shelter rescues and finds homes for all kinds of cats and kittens. They put tremendous care and attention into each cat and provide a safety net so that if an adopted cat ever loses its home, it can be brought back to Feline Rescue to be re-homed. This is a well-run organization with a substantial volunteer network. Highly recommended if you're looking for a feline friend.

Very well run. The cats are obviously loved and cared for. When we adopted our cats from them in April, i thought it was sweet that classical music was playing in our cats' room :) We lived on the other side of Minneapolis at the time, and it was very stressful trying to get all of the documentation in order and drive back and forth with cats and carriers - but the staff was very understanding and helpful.

I have had cats my entire life, and did think that some of the staff were on the more controlling/overbearing side when explaining how to care for our new cats, but perhaps they have learned to err on the side of caution!

They did a follow-up call about a week after our adoption to see how the cats were doing.

I just recently adopted my cat from Feline Rescue. I was SO impressed with this place. Everything was clean and well kept, the cats seemed happy and had a ton of space to move around, and everyone I talked to was very helpful. I was even more impressed to learn that this is an entirely volunteer-based location. The staff were knowledgeable and helpful, and they gave me tons of information on how to best care for my new cat. I highly recommend this place to anyone looking to adopt a cat or kitten in the twin cities area.

I've driven past this place what seems like a million times, and have had friends who've volunteered at this no-kill shelter. Yet, I've never had a reason to go in (having pets already). That is until today.

What a beautiful organization! For any cat who arrives at this shelter, there's one guarantee - it will be loved and taken care of by the many volunteers, even if its never adopted. In fact there are some cats who have lived at the Feline Rescue shelter for over 5 years, and will until they are adopted, or they live a naturally long life.

My friend Catherine wanted to adopt a cat, and this was the perfect place to go. We spent approximately 1.5 hours there, and after this experience, I'm going to do my best remind folks to donate to Feline Rescue, as welll as volunteer for them. I have my volunteer application ready, I suggest you do the same.

Btw, Catherine adopted a sweet tortie mix, named Mimsy. Mimsy is already loving her new home, and Catherine is equally delighted with Mimsy .

What a comforting place to go and search for your next domestic kitty companion. Clean facilities, helpful VOLUNTEER staff and plenty-o-kitties for the looking. It was a really positive experience going there and you won't leave feeling depressed about all the felines you just visited and can't take home. Their website and blog is also top notch as is the person who writes the kitty bios on Petfinder...they deserve a literary medal. Check them out, you'll see what I mean!
---Its located right behind the big Goodwill in St. Paul off of University.
