Million-dollar Ferrari SF90 Stradale flips on roof, safety systems protect occupants

Despite the supercar rolling and landing on its roof, the alleged driver and passenger walked away from the incident relatively unharmed.

A Perth driver has been issued an infringement notice after losing control and crashing the plug-in hybrid supercar, worth around $AU1 million when new.

The yellow Ferrari SF90 Stradale can be seen in the above photo – uploaded to the social media platform Reddit – upside down on the road with its curtain airbags deployed.

According to Western Australia Police, the driver was travelling northbound along Orrong Road and Wright Street in Carlisle – a suburb approximately 8km southeast of Perth – on 6 July 2024.

Police said the alleged driver led the vehicle off the road, where it struck a tree. As a result of the incident, the vehicle rolled before "coming to rest on its roof."

The alleged offender and passenger – both men in their early 30s – reportedly walked away from the incident relatively unharmed, with paramedics standing down once they received confirmation the two occupants “escaped unscathed”, according to local newspaper, The West Australian.

Police said the driver has been charged with a traffic infringement for "careless driving".
