After I returned from my first trip to Nepal in 2005 I started piecing this 2xLP together in what I was planning on being my first release by my new "Post-Wolf Eyes" band "THE NEVARI BUTCHERS". I got close, and had some great contributions from friends, but started concentrating more on the field recordings, the snake charmer recordings, etc etc. The album got stuck unfinished, I instead released the original Modern Jester cassette which after a few years of tweaking turned into my MODERN JESTER 2xLP. I've always loved these recordings and always wished I could have gotten them to a place where I felt they were finished. But after almost 19 years I think it's probably time to just let people hear em. You'll probably recognize sounds that ended up on other releases. There was a lathe featuring a few of these tracks in super raw brutal mono lathecut form, as well as a cassette reissue of said lathe dubbed direct from said crude lathe. So some of you may recognize those tracks, but here they are in full quality stereo. I was very new to using a DAW when I pieced this stuff together and all of the tracks were fully blown out into digital red. Most of the wave files are just black bars. Anyway... Hope ya dig. Lemme know what ya think. Apologies it's taken a while to get something new up here on the sub page. Thanks everyone for sticking w/ me!

Deep, mind-bending psych. I don't know how it was put together, but it feels very organic, like early Nurse With Wound. I could see Gordon, Dilloway, and Nace sitting among a pile of junk and miles of tape, splicing together this album piece by piece. Levrikon
