Join us for our annual admitted student event where the Berkeley community welcomes you, our newly admitted students and families.
The program will begin with a Welcome Session at California Memorial Stadium at 8 am. Afterwards, you’ll be able to visit your academic departments, learn about resources and opportunities for Berkeley students, take a campus tour and much more. We’ll be updating this page with more details, so check back here as we get closer to the event.

Highlights from 2024 Cal Day
1. Chancellor’s Welcome

Newly admitted students and their families are invited to an early morning welcome with UC Berkeley Chancellor Carol Christ and Associate Vice Chancellor and Dean of Admissions, Olufemi Ogundele. You'll also hear from the ASUC (student body) president and experience some incredible student performances as early as 7:30am. The official program begins at 8 am.

3. Information Zones

From academic departments, to research opportunities, to resources and support, to student organizations - our information zones have little bit of everything. Visit the campuswide resource fair to learn more about the amazing opportunities that Berkeley has to offer. Check out Guidebook to locate all of the information zones.
4. Campus Tours

Student campus ambassadors will take you on a one-hour walking tour of the campus! Learn about what it's like to be a Berkeley student as well as our traditions, student life, and history. Get all of your questions answered in order to make an informed decision about coming to Cal! Meet at the Tour Tent on the north side of South Hall, near Doe Library and the Campanile (Sather Tower). Tours happen continuously starting at 10am with the last tour at 3pm.
5. Blue Carpet Events at Memorial Glade

Join us for the Blue Carpet event, where our newest Golden Bears are the VIPs. Get your swag bag (one per student) and take some photos on our blue carpet. This is also the area where you can accept your offer of admissions. Be sure to check in for Cal Day on your portal and show your confirmation page to staff to get your swag.
