On the eve of India’s thrilling win over a valiant South Africa in Saturday’s International Cricket Council Men’s T20 World Cup Final in Barbados, we brought our Beyond Boundaries Initiative to the island. With the help of West Indies legend Chris Gayle, we delivered another 250 kits to grassroots cricket, taking the total number delivered to 2,250 since the initiative launched in October 2023. The kits and equipment will be distributed across three beneficiary organisations to serve aspiring cricketers across Barbados. The ninth container of the initiative will serve the Barbados Royals Girls Cricket Club as a fully-equipped changing facility, bolstering the infrastructure that will make the game accessible to more girls in the future. The mural adorning the container, created by local artists, features several of the girls from the club alongside our global ambassador, Sachin Tendulkar. We are proud to support the ICC in the delivery of their pinnacle events, such as this fantastic edition of the Men’s T20 World Cup, while also using our expertise and smart solutions to deliver our shared vision of improved access to cricket for communities around the globe. Proof that small changes can make a big difference. The Move to -15°C initiative was awarded a Titanium Lion, a Gold Lion in the SDG category, and a Silver Lion in the B2B category at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity! Winning a Titanium Lion is a huge testament to this ground-breaking initiative. The award celebrates game-changing creativity with campaigns that mark a new direction for the industry — ‘The Move to -15°C’ does just that. Since the 'Move to -15°C's initiative was launched at COP28 last year, it has now evolved into an independent coalition steering the industry towards the 2050 net-zero goal, promoting collaboration to cut emissions across the supply chain. The temperature standard for storing and transporting frozen food hasn't changed in nearly a century, but research has shown that a shift from -18ºC to -15ºC can reduce emissions, cut supply chain costs and safeguard food resources for the world's growing population. Launched at #COP28 last year, we are proud to be a founding member of #MoveToMinus15, an industry-wide coalition that aims to redefine frozen food temperature standards. This small change has the potential to make a big difference. Read more about the coalition's latest developments here: https://lnkd.in/eMNxu45h

Every year, global logistics companies move millions of tonnes of frozen food at a temperature of -18°C. But did you know that this temperature standard was established almost a century ago, despite technology having evolved significantly in the decades since? The #MoveToMinus15 is an industry-wide coalition exploring the feasibility of shifting the way frozen food is stored and transported around the world from -18°C to -15°C. But no one company can make this change alone. Underpinned by independent academic research, our aim is to collaborate with industry to redefine frozen food temperature standards to cut greenhouse gases and lower supply chain costs – a small change that can make a big impact. Ensuring a safe work environment for our people is our top priority. On this #DayoftheSeafarer, we extend our appreciation to all our seafarers. Mitigating maritime risks and disruption is a complex task that requires effective risk management, robust internal controls and the cultivation of a dependable team culture. Our Group Chief Internal Audit Officer, Joanne Traice, shares her thoughts on how the Internal Audit function contributes to the wellbeing of our seafarers, ensuring smooth operations within our network worldwide.

Maritime workers and seafarers are the backbone of our industry, keeping global trade flowing. However, the maritime industry continues to face risks from geopolitical tensions, climate change and maritime crime such as piracy or in conflict zones, which not only disrupt shipping but also pose a significant threat to seafarers.  As we celebrate this year's #DayoftheSeafarer, we must recognise their efforts in making the maritime sector a safer place to work. I want to extend my warm appreciation and gratitude to these dedicated professionals; without their efforts, there is no shipping, shopping or supply chain. Protecting their safety at sea is a responsibility that serves us all. This is a perfect opportunity to reflect and reaffirm our commitment to ensuring safe working practices for all. At DP World, we always emphasise that safety is a shared responsibility. It's everyone's duty to ensure we all come home safely every day. As part of our Internal Audit mandate, we are dedicated to ensuring rigorous risk management, internal controls and strong governance are in place to mitigate these threats. This includes continuous auditing, observing any breaches in safety protocols during our audits, monitoring exceptions through advanced data analysis technologies and fostering a culture of ethical behaviour, safety and vigilance amongst our workforce.  Maritime risk considerations are critical for multinational companies like ours. The complex interplay of global trade routes, diverse regulatory environments and evolving geopolitical landscapes demands robust enterprise risk assessment, crisis management and business continuity planning. By staying proactive and adaptive, we safeguard not just our operations, but also the lives of those who make global trade possible.     A heartfelt thank you to all our team members for your unwavering commitment to safety and for ensuring that our workplace remains a thriving, secure community for everyone. #MaritimeSafety

18 years ago, we arrived in Peru with the aim of strengthening routes between the country and the rest of the world, while contributing to the growth of Peru's foreign trade. Now, our operations in Callao have become one of the main gateways for Peruvian imports and exports, unlocking trade on the Pacific Coast of South America. Our Group Chairman and CEO, Sultan Ahmed Bin Sulayem officially inaugurated the new Bicentennial Pier, an expansion of the port terminal that includes a new 400-metre berth (bringing the total to 1,050 metres) and a new 40-hectare yard. With the Muelle Bicentenario Expansion, we will continue to unlock trade, providing opportunities for Peruvian products such as blueberries, asparagus, and avocados, among others, connecting Peru with the world. #MuelleBicentenario

Peru serves as a crucial hub for global trade in Latin America, and the unveiling of the Bicentennial Pier at the Port of Callao underscores its strategic significance for the region and to DP World. It was an honour to attend the completion ceremony of our $400 million project, an expansion that increases the terminal's current overall capacity by 80%, enabling it to handle up to 2.7 million TEUs. Since our arrival in Peru 18 years ago, we have strengthened its global connection routes and boosted foreign trade, with the Callao operations becoming a key gateway for Peruvian imports and exports, unlocking trade on the Pacific Coast of South America. Our investment is a testament to our unwavering commitment to the region and reflects our confidence in Peru's future and the potential of the Port of Callao. Together, we will continue to drive economic growth in Latin America. #MuelleBicentenario

Going Beyond Boundaries in the United States. A look back at our USA container unveiling at the International Cricket Council Fan Park in lower Manhattan, where cricket legend and our Global Ambassador Sachin Tendulkar, alongside our Chief Communications Officer Daniel van Otterdijk, and Vice President of Operations for North America, Terry Donohoe, distributed kits to local beneficiaries and emphasised the importance of supporting grassroots cricket. Hosted by Ravi Shastri, the event highlighted our commitment to growing the game globally, with over 2,000 kits having now been delivered across 4 countries: following up on our promise from the ICC Men’s World Cup last year. With the T20 World Cup being co-hosted by the USA, our initiative was perfectly timed to boost cricket’s infrastructure and leave a lasting impact.
