We’re proud to be home to MBZUAI (Mohamed bin Zayed University of Artificial Intelligence), which has just welcomed its largest and most diverse group of students yet — 209 graduate students from 36 countries. This includes the university’s first-ever cohorts in computer science and robotics. NZ1, designed for net-zero commercial operation, generates 100% of its energy needs on-site, making it our most energy-efficient building to date. With cutting-edge features like an airtight envelope and real-time performance monitoring, it sets a new benchmark for design and sustainability in Masdar City. As our CEO, Ahmed Baghoum, stated, “Our vision has always been to accelerate the UAE’s ambitious journey to net zero, and we are closer now than ever. NZ1 is just the beginning.” Together with GHD, we’ve turned this vision into reality. المبنى NZ1 يمثل قفزة نوعية في الاستدامة، حيث يُنتج 100% من احتياجاته من الطاقة ذاتياً، ليصبح الأكثر كفاءة في استهلاك الطاقة. بفضل تصميمه العازل الذي يمنع تسرب الهواء داخل وخارج المبنى والمراقبة اللحظية للأداء، وضعت مدينة مصدر معيارًا جديدًا للتصميم المستدام. وكما قال الرئيس التنفيذي، أحمد باقحوم: "نحن أقرب من أي وقت مضى لتحقيق رؤية الإمارات الطموحة نحو الصفر الصافي. إن NZ1 هو مجرد البداية." بالتعاون مع GHD، حولنا هذه الرؤية إلى حقيقة.
