We are happy to announce the release of our Green Bond Report. In 2023, TAQA issued its inaugural USD 1 billion green bond, marking a significant milestone in our commitment to a greener future and the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). TAQA allocated 100% of the net proceeds from the Green Bonds issuance to Eligible Green Projects which includes equity investments into Pure Play companies as per TAQA’s Green Finance Framework. Our wind farm in Minnesota, equipped with 137 GE 1.5MW turbines, powers 68,000 homes.   As shareholders in Masdar (Abu Dhabi Future Energy Company)'s renewable business, a leading developer and investor in onshore and offshore wind farms, and through our investment in Xlinks, a project that connects solar and wind power from Morocco to the UK, we drive innovation and sustainability in the energy sector.

Noel Aoun, Chief Strategy Officer at TAQA Group, participated in the session titled "Industry Driven Partnerships for Accelerated Energy Transition: AFID and Utilities for Net Zero Alliance" at the Twenty-Seventh Meeting of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) Council.   Noel highlighted UNEZA's achievements, including uniting 35 global utility players and aiming to boost renewable energy capacity to 749 GW by 2030, a 2.5 times increase from 2023 levels. He emphasised the need to address grid and supply chain bottlenecks and stressed the importance of collective efforts from utilities, regulators, and policymakers. He also noted UNEZA's recently launched Plan of Action at the IRENA Assembly in Abu Dhabi.   As Co-Chair of UNEZA, launched during COP28 UAE, TAQA reaffirms its commitment to driving the energy transition, implementing innovative solutions, and fostering collaboration to achieve a sustainable and resilient energy future. #EnergyTransition #NetZero #UNEZA #TAQA #PoweringaThrivingFuture
