FEA is carried out to find out load effects in the welded joints of Offshore tubular structures. Hot Spot Stress and SCF for a K-joint under various load cases of pure axial loading, in-plane
bending and out-of-plane bending and combined axial and bending are calculated using different parametric equations. The results are validated using API RP 2A method and compared with FEA approach by means of Stress extrapolation method.
