Trying to build things that matter. Love doing that with people I can learn from.
I’ve spent the last two decades focused on international poverty and building companies to make it as cheap, fast and convenient to transfer money into the emerging markets. GiveDirectly does this for philanthropic capital, having raised >300M for direct cash transfers in 2020 alone; Segovia for businesses (recently sold to Crown Agents Bank to expand its reach); and Taptap Send for individuals (i.e., consumer remittances to Africa and Asia).
