Visit Annapolis Maritime Museum

The historic McNasby Oyster Company has served as the perfect home for the Annapolis Maritime Museum since 2001. It was built on the watermen’s knowledge of the Chesapeake Bay, its health, and its ecological diversity.

The Annapolis Maritime Park Campus

Located at Ellen O. Moyer Nature Park, this renovated 12-acre waterfront park accommodates AMM’s ever-expanding education programs and the Education Staff offices.

The Historic Skipjack Wilma Lee

The Wilma Lee, which accommodates up to 35 guests, is available for public cruises, private charters, and education programs. 

This historic vessel offers a unique opportunity to learn about the Chesapeake Bay and its ecology. Outings on the Wilma Lee include Heritage Tours, Sunset Cruises, Wednesday Night Race Watches, and Specialty Cruise Events.

 The Wilma Lee is housed at the museum year-round, except during the deep winter months. Come Check her out!

Directions

The Annapolis Maritime Museum has two waterfront campuses: the Museum Campus (723 Second Street Annapolis, MD 21403) and the Park Campus (7300 Edgewood Rd Annapolis, MD 21403).

 

Museum Campus

The Museum Campus is located in the Eastport neighborhood of Annapolis. The campus is at the Back Creek end of Second Street. The Museum has a small parking lot for visitors. If it is full, please find street parking.

Please do NOT park in the Eastport Yacht Center across the street from the Museum at any time.

 

 

Park Campus 

It is located at 7300 Edgewood Road, just across Back Creek from the Museum.

To reach the Park from the Museum, take Second Street to Chesapeake and turn left. Continue straight onto Bay Ridge Avenue. After one mile, turn left to stay on Bay Ridge. Turn left onto Edgewood Road and continue for 1.2 miles. The Park will be on the left; please use the second entrance.

From Downtown Annapolis:
Walking: It’s a 20-minute stroll from Annapolis City Dock. Start by taking Compromise Street across the Spa Creek Bridge. Then, turn left onto Severn Avenue, right onto Second Street, and continue to the end.
Water Taxi: Watermark offers Annapolis Water Taxi service around Annapolis Harbor, including Spa Creek and Back Creek. This service operates continuously on demand from mid-May to Labor Day and may continue into the fall, weather permitting. For service, call VHF channel 68 or 410-263-0033.
By Water:
Navigate following the channel markers into Back Creek. You’ll find McNasby’s on your starboard side, situated between Horn Point Marina and the Eastport Yacht Center. Note that our facilities for transient boat visits are currently limited, and day docking is available only to Museum members.
