In a bitter divorce settlement from her billionaire husband Rupert Mannion (Anthony Head), Rebecca Welton (Hannah Waddingham) becomes the new owner of AFC Richmond, a struggling British English Premier League football team. She's assisted by her garden gnome Director of Communications (and later Director of Football Operations) Leslie Higgins (Jeremy Swift), who formerly worked for her husband. Her first order of business is to fire the team's current manager and replace him with American football coach Theodore "Ted" Lasso (Jason Sudeikis). Formerly a small-time coach from Wichita Kansas, Ted and his friend, assistant Coach Beard (Brendan Hunt) cross the pond to take up the management of the team's long, albeit modest history. Although he is nationally ridiculed for doing something so stupid, Ted works to change the team's profound mediocrity. I absolutely love this show. I used a free appletv promo and binged the whole series. It is a shame that there are absolutely no special features with this, but it will be nice to go back and watch this series whenever I like.

This is a great show. I loved watching through the show again. Now that I knew where everything was going, I got to see all the delicate moments they put in to foreshadow that I missed before. I know Nate's story wasn't one of those, but I could feel more for him in the second season while he was going through it.

The discs were in great shape. Everything worked right away. The promotional poster was a nice touch. And the video quality was fantastic. Highly recommend.

Both my wife and I found this series to one of the most interesting and different comedies we have seen in a long time. It ranks with only the best of television offerings of the past years: it’s not a mystery, and not a “ yuck-yuck” kind of comedy that tries for cheap laughs. Maybe it’s a 21st century kind of show that the late Bob Newhart might have done.

Show itself is five-stars: one of my all-time favorite shows but the complete lack of any bonus features is disappointing enough to make it a four-star rating.

This set has all the episodes, but zero bonus features. No commentaries, no behind-the-scenes, no featurettes, nothing but the main episodes.

The inclusion of the "Christmas Mustache" mini-episode, the original TV spots that inspired the series, some commentaries from actors, or even an introduction or two would have been a nice touch and gotten a five-star from me.

The discs themselves are in a nice case, easy removal and return. Good transfer, good quality. If all you want to do is watch the show, this is a perfect set for you. If you are like me and have seen it more times than you can count, there is nothing here new.

This review is not against the quality of the show, it’s one of the best. The audio quality is lack luster. Very unbalanced. I tried putting it through my sound bar to see if it evens out, but to no avail. Outside of that, not many extras. But it’s worth it to have the series without having to pay Apple TV monthly just to watch this show.

Comedy, inspiration, motivation and just brilliant writing and acting make this one of the best made for tv series ever made. Has way more in common with old school tv than most modern series but still is completely relevant in today's setting! I cannot wait to cancel my AppleTV+ subscription when this comes because this is the only reason I have it!

I agree with many of the other reviewers - it's fantastic to have this available in a physical media, but unfortunate that the packaging is a bit cheap and flimsy. The product image seems to indicate that it will be in a strong cardboard packaging - it is not. I am including images so that you can judge for yourself.

No behind the scenes or extras - just the show.
And a Believe poster (those of you familiar with the show will know the iconic poster).

I truly love it.

For the price point and it being the initial release I am a little underwhelmed by the packaging. One would think a carboard sleeving system for the discs would have been better, the plastic case it comes in feels pretty cheap and something on par with a discount re-release that you would see from an older show on a second or third release run.
Still giving four stars though because the show is amazing and I adore the cast.
Juno Temple will always be my celebrity crush.
