3 mattresses later I am stuck with a dump bill
For the last 7 years I've slept on a full size Casper original. In July I decided it was time to upgrade to a king, hoping to enjoy the same sleep quality I have enjoyed for years I purchased another casper. The mattress arrived quickly which I was impressed by. After off gassing for a day the smell had lessened and I decided to put on my sheets, I was surprised to see they fit loosely. Feeling like I made a mistake of which end was the head/toe of the bed vs the side I measured the mattress only to find out it was 76"x76" a true king size mattress is supposed to by 80" tall and being 6'3" I am 75" tall. The extra 4 inches missing was causing my feet to hang off the bed. I spent my first night on the mattress anyway, When I woke up my lower back hurt, I woke up throughout the night, and I was disappointed. I slept horribly. I continued sleeping on the mattress in the hope it would break in but my sleep did not improve. I ended up going back to my 7 year old casper now in the guest room.Unfortunately because the mattress was purchased on Amazon I was told that I needed to go through Amazon for the first 100 nights and casper would not be able to help with the exchange process. Amazon sent me another new mattress along with a UPS pickup label promptly after calling. Later realizing that UPS wasn't going to pick up up a fully expanded mattress I called Amazon back to learn the first associate gave me bad information and they had no intention of picking up the defective mattress, very frustrating. 2 days later my new mattress was delivered as promised. However, before I could get home UPS came with the pickup slip and took the replacement mattress off my front porch. With my doorbell video in hand I called Amazon where I was told because my package was "missing" I would have to call back 24-48 hours later to have yet another mattress sent.After yet another call a third mattress was sent. This time after getting it expanded the sizing was correct, the sheets I had fit properly, and to my amazement I slept better on it. Out of curiosity I checked the tags on both mattresses and I was surprised to learn both mattresses were made by different companies. The bad one was from Jeffco and the newer one was Future foam Inc. Casper had outsourced their designs without bothering to have good quality control standardsAs glad as I am to have the correct quality mattress I had expected, it took 5 phone calls to resolve (some near an hour), lots of frustration, and at the end of all of it Amazon is unwilling to take back the defective mattress so I am now responsible for disposal. I will have to call a junk man to pick it up and pay the dump fees. My next mattress will not be a casper. I expected this to be hassle free, why else would you buy an online mattress? It's hard to believe that for several thousand dollars not only can they not get the product right but they refuse to take back the defective item.

I did a lot of research on VOC’s, pain relief, support, etc..and I finally pulled the trigger on the Casper hybrid. I previously had Sealy and I was in constant back pain. I work out everywhere and do Pilates too. I can say the hybrid is perfect for me. I am a stomach sleeper - even if I try to sleep on my side I eventually end up on my stomach. The hybrid is the perfect amount of pillow top feeling coupled with support. I could not be happier. On the sealy memory foam I felt like I was sinking into a pit and was being swallowed up, I tried flipping the mattress around ( not over!) and the feeling was the same. With the Casper hybrid it’s a supportive but soft feeling. I have always used a pillow topper and I don’t even need one. This bed is amazing. It’s been a little over 4 months now. I made sure to get the Casper base ( I did not get the low profile one- I heard there is one) I like my bed away from the carpet/ floor. My Yorkie wakes me up when he wants up/down and he won’t sleep anywhere else in the house!! He approves! I also sleep VERY HOT!!! And it doesn’t heat me up. I prefer the room at 68 degrees and leave the window open. It’s a dream!! If you are reading this then I am sure you are researching so if you are like me go with hybrid the normal memory foams were not so great for me. Good luck!!!
