Description
Actionbound is an app for playing digital scavenger hunts by means of installing digital content in the physical world.
The content is filled in by the users on the website actionbound.com making actual surroundings a backdrop for the game. We call these interactive mobile rallies “Bounds”, essentially a collection of diverse tasks, e.g., taking pictures, dancing, playing a game etc., linked to a specific location.
The program quite literally augments our reality by enhancing peoples’ real-life interaction whilst using their smart phones and tablets. Apart from the altruistic goal of helping people to discover “their environment by learning more about its history, politics and culture”, the free app is payable for corporate clients, who can use Actionbound for team-building events and the likes.
Actionbound is an interactive app-based game approach for smart phones and tablets: Players are invited to accomplish tasks, which can be defined through the so-called Bound-Creator on the website actionbound.com, in order to playfully discover their environment by learning more about its history, politics and culture. In contrast to a geo-cache or a scavenger hunt Actionbound requires the players to create their own content.

Ganz toll
Superschöne Idee, für jedermann leicht einzurichten. Es lässt sich eigentlich jede Idee umsetzen, weil man Media Files aller Art einbinden kann. Verwende die App für den nächsten Kindergeburtstag. Man muss kein Hellseher sein um zu wissen, dass die Kids einen riesen Spass dabei haben werden.
Kann plötzlich nicht mehr gestartet werden.
Auf dem iPhone funktioniert die App nur direkt nach dem Installieren und dem ersten verwenden eines Bounds. Spätestens nach Pausieren eines Bounds, App schliessen und neu starten bleibt die App dunkelgrau/fast schwarz. Wenn man die Karte das erste Mal einblendet in der App, sieht man die genaue Position sowie auch wo der Bound ist, aber mit dem Zurückpfeil kommt man auch nicht zurück, Pfeil reagiert plötzlich nicht mehr. Man kann dann die App nur noch schliessen. Nach erneutem Starten bleibt der Bildschirm wie scho gesagt wieder schwarz. Man muss dann die App wieder neu installieren um sie einmal verwenden zu können. Auf dem iPhone 11 Pro tritt der Fehler auch auf. Beide Geräte mit iOS 14.4.2
