Description

StopTheScript is a Safari extension for iOS, iPadOS, and macOS that stops all JavaScript on your selected websites. StopTheScript is the only Safari extension that stops inline JavaScript on the web page as well as externally loaded JavaScript. This is in contrast to Safari content blockers, which can only block external JavaScript, not inline JavaScript.

IMPORTANT: StopTheScript requires Safari version 17 on macOS.

Autofills the URL domain from the current website in Safari when you add a website to the HTML noscript list.

Very good but wish controls were more refined

It's an excellent extension and worth five stars for the inline blocking. I'm surprised though by the extent of JavaScript on websites so that when JavaScript is blocked even basic items such as photos often won't load. I wish that the extension would provide options for more refined blocking so that some types of command can be blocked and others not. I don't know if this is even technically possible and if it was it would probably lead to a more expensive app but hopefully not a subscription model.
