HONG KONG -- China's exports expanded for the third straight month in June, bolstered by a recovery in global manufacturing and the front-loading of orders ahead of tariff increases by some of its trading partners.

Overseas shipments jumped 8.6% on the year in dollar terms, the biggest percentage gain since March 2023, according to Chinese customs data released Friday. The rise, which came from a low base last year, was higher than the 8.0% forecast by economists in a Reuters poll.
