The Buildings Sector Science-Based Target-Setting Criteria is here! Today the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) launches a sector-specific science-based framework for companies and financial institutions in the buildings value chain to set 1.5°C-aligned emissions reduction targets. The SBTi Buildings Criteria takes into account sector-specific barriers and opportunities to enable the development of targets that align with science-based decarbonization pathways within the unique context of the sector. This is an important step towards creating a net-zero buildings industry, providing businesses across the value chain with the tools to play their part in preventing the catastrophic impacts of climate change. Thanks for having me #SIORBerlin2024. It was a great opportunity to speak about the current opportunities and difficulties of including #ESG into our daily business with Julia Wein and Simon Ochoa Sierra. It was an honour to have been invited to moderate the #ESG and #stranded #assets panel as well as round table discussion on sustainability. Thank you also to our panelists Simon Ochoa Sierra Julia Wein and Ulrike Dreykluft who shared their experiences and ESG knowledge with participants from around the globe.
