🏠 Household air pollution disproportionately impacts women and children. Did you know household smoke created by the lack of #cleancooking technologies and fuels leads to almost four million premature deaths each year, making it the world’s third-biggest cause of early mortality for women and children? A new article by The Economist reports the harmful effects of cooking with polluting stoves and fuels, noting that “Until the issue gets proper attention, millions of people will continue to die.” Adopting cleaner cooking technologies and supporting policies that promote their use can significantly improve public health and environmental sustainability.
