    No time for knocking 💥 #AusArmy soldiers from 1st Battalion, The Royal Australian Regiment, conducted a suite of manoeuvre support courses over a period of two months across Townsville, Queensland. The courses covered small boats training, chainsaws, shotgun method of entry, light urban explosive breaching and demolitions, enabling the Battalion to operate as an amphibious capable, air mobile force in the littoral environment. 📹 CPL Brandon Grey

    Each year the Army Aboriginal Community Assistance Program works with Indigenous communities to build skills and infrastructure. This year Australian Army soldiers have been working in the South Australian community of Amata. For Corporal Lianne Salerno, her AACAP deployment allowed her to get back to her passion of working with animals. Working alongside a veterinarian, Corporal Salerno was part of a team de-sexing 67 companion animals and treating more than 250 dogs and cats from the Amata community. 🗞️ read more https://lnkd.in/gdzF86qj

    Every year the warfighting skills of Australian Army soldiers are put to the test with the Duke of Gloucester Cup 🐕 💪 Infantry soldiers’ marksmanship, reconnaissance, planning and executing section attacks and close quarters fighting skills were tested at the Townsville Field Training Area and Tully Training Area. Along with the Duke of Gloucester Cup, five other trophies are awarded: Sir Arthur MacDonald Trophy for best foundation warfighting skills; Gurkha Trophy for best live-fire shooting; Royal Ulster Rifles Trophy for best falling plate shooting; OSCMAR Trophy for best battle endurance; and the DSM Roche CSC Memorial Cup for best individual soldier.     Exercise Bardia ✅ Watch the newest #AusArmy sappers have undergo their Combat Engineer Initial Employment Training and successfully complete Exercise Bardia. The culminating activity marks the end of their training at the School of Military Engineering 🎉 The week of the exercise saw trainees practice field skills, section patrols, clearance of hostile zones, explosives hazard reduction, casualty evacuation and Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear decontamination manoeuvres.
